About The Trip

Muktinath Tour

Mustang is the Roof of the Nepal. Mustang is known as the desert land of the Nepal which is behind from the Himalayas.Muktinath literally means “Lord of Salvation”. It is a site revered by both the Hindus and the Buddhists equally.  Each year it witnesses thousands of devotees flocking for worship in a hope to receive moksha from the cycle of birth and rebirth. The temple of Muktinath is situated at the base of Thorang Peak in Baraha Gaun in the district of Mustang in the north central part of Nepal, and it is about 110 Km from Pokhara and 20 kms northeast of Jomsom at an altitude of about 3800 meters from the sea level. It is a gate way to Mustang from Manang in famous Annapurna circuit Trek route. The holy shrine at Muktinath is in a grove of trees and includes a Buddhist Gompa and the pagoda style temple of Vishnu Temple, Containing an Image of Vishnu. The Hindus call it Muktichhetra is one of the four religious sites. Many Ammonite (Shaligrams) found here are considered by Hindu as incarnation of lord Vishnu and worship them. Jomsom Muktinath Trekking is situated North of Pokhara, Nepal’s spectacular diversity appears at its finest The deep valleys and high mountains encircling the giant Annapurna Himal embrace a wide range of peoples and terrain, from subtropical jungle to a high, dry landscape resembling the Tibetan Plateau.

Option (A)

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 m) & transfer to hotel

Arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by Natural Tours representative and promptly transferred to hotel. After checking in at the hotel, you can either take a break or hang around in the city premises depending on your interest and time constraint. In the evening, there will be a pre-trip discussion, and a concise introduction with your tour guide. Here you have all opportunities to ask questions related to the tour program. Overnight stay arrangements at a designated hotel.

Day 2: Full Day Kathmandu Sightseeing

Today after breakfast, we start a guided sightseeing to historical and spiritual sites in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites that include the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (Bouddhanath) which is one of the largest Stupa in the world.

Day 3: Fly to Pokhara

After breakfast check out from the hotel and Departure transfer to airport for fly Pokhara (35 m) reach Pokhara and check into the hotel, evening boating on Fewa Lake (1 hrs.) and visit the Taal Barahi temple, evening at leisure to explore the lakeside market. O/N at hotel

Day 4: Fly to jomsom and drive to muktinath and return back to jomsom.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to pokhara airport fly to jomsom (20m) and drive to muktnith destination. Sometime visit the muktinath temple area and drive back to jomsom. O/n  at hotel

Day 5: Fly back to Pokhara and half day sightseeing

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing (Includes visit to Devi’s fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev cave, Seti river gorge, Vindhiyavasini temple) evening at leisure for visit to the market and shopping etc. O/N at the hotel

Day 6:Drive back to Kathmandu.

After breakfast, checkout from hotel and drive back to Kathmandu from the pokhara. In the ways we see the natural resources, cultural sites, hilly area, rivers and towns etc. overnight at hotel.

Day 7: Final departure

After breakfast, check out from hotel and transfer to airport fly to onwards destination.

 

 Option (B) 7 night 8 Days Overland tour to Muktinath

After breakfast hotel, we start a guided sightseeing to historical and spiritual sites in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites that include the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (Bouddhanath) which is one of the largest Stupa in the world.

Day 3: Early morning breakfast at hotel, drive to Pokhara 200 Km (5 hour) on the way seen some Nepali way of life and nature, check into the hotel and evening at leisure to explore the lakeside market. O/N at hotel

Day 4: Drive to Tatopani via Beni

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to tatopani from pokhara. It takes(6 hours) to reach the tatopani. O/n at hotel,

Day 5: Drive to Muktinath or drive back to Jomsom or Marpha.

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to muktinath from Tatopani. It takes (7hours) to reach the muktinath. Few time to take to visit the area of the temple of muktinath and drive back to marpha. O/n at hotel

Day 6: Back to Pokhara.

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive back to pokhara from Marpha. O/N at hotel

Day 7: Full day sightseeing of Pokhara valley.

Day 8: Drive back to Kathmandu, optional via Manakamana Temple (with cable car)

Day 9: Departure transfer to airport for final departure.
